Since its opening in 1984, Chophouse Band Practice Studios served as a raucous epicenter of the Seattle music scene. Presidents of the United States of America, The Posies, Sweet Water and Maktub are just a few of the noteworthy bands that practiced in the space.

In 2016 Chophouse Studios was converted to what is now known as the Chophouse Row building. In the spirit of keeping the music scene alive on Capitol Hill, Cloud Studios was created in the basement of the neighboring Baker Linen building.
